Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!

Those of us in California will be gathering at Mom's for Christmas Eve dinner tonight! It should be a lot of fun, and we will miss everyone else that is away. It sure won't be the same without Dad around, but I know he will be in good company also. We need to make some h0t wassail in his honor!

Holiday Prep

We went hunting for the perfect Christmas tree up in the mountains. We finally made a decision after much deliberation.

My sister,Lora, went with us to get her tree also.

Collin helping me to lug the tree to the car.

That was "option number four" as Dylan liked to put it.

We went to 7-11 after to get a hot chocolate, but the call of the slurpee was too much for the boys. I don't know how they managed because we were cold already.

The Battle Continues

Too funny not to share. Listen carefully to Blake at the beginning.

Halloween

Blake as Darth Vadar, he doesn't like to wear the hat.
Dylan is Boba Fett, I have no idea how to spell these names, they are all from Star Wars though.
Collin is a clone trooper, not to be confused with a storn trooper. He is very particular about that.
All three of our cute bad guys.

The Pre- Halloween Celebrations.

Blake after eating a bat shaped sugar cookie. You've got to love the indulgences of youth.
Going through the loot they brought home from Trunk or Treating at church.
Chris was the creepy guy that scared me, the poor innocent trick or treater. You can see in his eyes that he was really getting into the part. he he!

Note from Peter

I am taking the liberty of copying Peter's message to the main page, so no one misses it. :)

Hello everyone! I'm happy to say that today, I finally finished installing a new screen door on the house. Needless to say that Grandma is happy to have it in. (it's a retractable door like Chris and Lisa have)

Recently I have been reading the origanal Sherlock Holmes books written by Sir Arthur Coanan Doyle. I find them to be very interesting, especially since they were written a century ago. I would recomend them to just about anyone. They are fairly easy to read and many of them are rather short and can easily be read in one day.

I spoke to Tyler on Saturday and he is doing well. He is involved in a Police Explorer program in Redding and will be going on ride alongs with police officers soon. It should be very exciting for him and a good experience especially since he is thinking of going into that line of work.

Posting required

Just a friendly reminder to all of you to post something on this blog. It is not too difficult. (go to "new post," type in your info, browse your pictures, upload and publish! Or call me for help.) You know you have some pictures that you want to share... so do it. I really do not want to feel as though we are monopolizing this thing with just our family. YOU SHOULD ALSO BE AWARE THAT USING BLACK MAIL PICTURES OF YOU UNTIL YOU POST SOMETHING IS NOT BELOW MY STANDARDS. SO POST, OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!!!

New York City

We had a great time in the Big Apple with lots of activities. We were able to see The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Central Park, Time Square, The Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and the Brooklyn Bridge. We also were able to enjoy a Broadway show as well as lots of great food. We have many pictures, but I figured this was enough to suffice for now.

Collin's Birthday

Yes, the afternoon started out with musical entertainment of Bionicle proportions. Followed by a buffet and good old fashioned socializing and enjoying the weather. We can't forget the frenzy of present opening. I have wanted to make some cool cd thank you notes that have the music video on them, but we are missing some cord to make that possible so I will probably just write some thank yous in the mean time. On to the next birthday!

To: Tyler

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER!!!!!
WE WISH WE COULD BE THERE WITH YOU. WE'LL EAT SOME CAKE IN YOUR HONOR.

The littlest ones

These two followed each other around all day. They tried to get the chair rocking, but weren't synchronized. They would crack up after each effort. I am sure that Blake enjoyed having someone his own size around for once. Aren't they cute?

Braden Turns Eight!!

Happy Birthday Braden!! Thanks for sharing your special day with us, we hope you enjoyed yourself too. We look forward to your baptism now. **These pictures are obviously taken at Grandma's house, the boys are a little into Bionicles if you couldn't tell.

Our Trip to San Francisco

We went to Muir Woods and the Golden Gate Bridge in July . The boys really enjoyed both, other than Blake who hated the wind on the bridge. We were fortunate to have a clear day in S.F.
